The past two weeks I have been focusing on experimenting with paint, and different patterns. I have been using different mixtures of colors, and brush strokes in order to create a unique pattern within each painting. One effect that I have found fun to create, as well as abstract looking, is when instead of using strokes to paint on the paper, twist the brush in circles. This creates a 3D, abstract, allusion for the viewer. By experimenting these past two weeks with different materials and colors, and styles, I think I have a pretty good idea what I want to start creating for the studio.
